Rental Terms
All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Renting a vehicle in Cardiff requires:
- To rent a vehicle in Cardiff, drivers must be at least 21 years old, although this age requirement may differ based on vehicle type, with extra charges applicable for those under 25. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category is necessary, along with valid identification and proof of current address. Additionally, valid payment information and a security deposit are required, as well as any other conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement.
3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be completed via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Cardiff office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually payable at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through established payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damages will be evaluated and may result in additional charges. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will apply if the level is lower. Late returns could lead to extra charges, so inform us immediately if you anticipate any delays. You are accountable for any parking tickets, traffic infractions, or charges that occur during your rental, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance. For comprehensive information regarding coverage and excess amounts, please refer to the Rental Agreement. Options for additional insurance may be available to limit your financial liability. It is important to review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless further coverage is obtained. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violations of these Terms remains your responsibility, irrespective of any insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses include:
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful purposes or activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in dangerous maneuvers. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting to others or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden, as is using the vehicle for purposes it is not intended for. Exceeding passenger or weight limits, as well as operating the vehicle outside designated geographical boundaries without prior consent, is not permitted.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire in Cardiff will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount you paid for your rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent activities.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be addressed in the courts of England and Wales.
